    Author: Roger Cox

I graduated from BYU, Provo, UT with a BA in Spanish, minor in music. I sang for 1 year with the Utah Symphony Chorus for the sole purpose of singing Beethoven's 9th under the baton of Keith Lockhart. So much fun! Singing backup for Rosemary Clooney in her "White Christmas" concert, a soul wrenching journey through Shostakovich's "Babi Yar" with conductor Pavel Kogan, and a thrillingly intense Verdi "Requiem," again with Keith, made for an exciting year. For 10 years, I loved singing in Barlow Bradford's Utah Chamber Artists, an ensemble with incomparable voicing and who's silky, ethereal sound garnered invitations to perform as guest artists with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, the Utah Symphony, and at the National Choral Director's Association conference. The choir's glistening vocals polish Barlow's interpretations of traditional carols in their "Joyous Day" CD, released under the Clarion label. I have spent the last 5 years un-learning poor singing habits, transitioning from choir boy to solo artist, and training to become a certified full member of IVTOM. My voice has never sounded better! I love being able to address specific vocal issues with exercises that actually fix the problem! I look forward to full membership, increased performing, a CD, and teaching lots of singers. In addition to teaching voice, I am a mobile DJ for weddings, conferences, parties, product lauches, etc. with 7 years under my belt as a part-time DJ for KPCW 91.9 FM Park City. My company's name is SoundsWrite, llc. 801.609.4332 And anything I can do in English, I can also do in Spanish.
